Cable Bay Vineyards was established in 1996 and is owned by a small group of wine professionals who are all passionate about creating world-class wines. The company's goal is to produce outstanding wines from two of New Zealand's finest wine-producing areas - Waiheke Island and Marlborough. From each region, Cable Bay Vineyards produces wines that it believes best reflect the potential of that particular area - Chardonnay and Bordeaux varieties from Waiheke Island and Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir from Marlborough.
