Italian Vineyards

Friulvini
Friulvini was established in 1959 in the Pordenone province following the initiative of three wine producers cooperatives, joined later by other important top wineries in the region.
It currently includes over 2,000 members who can together rely on about 2,200 hectares of alluvial stony soil, between plains and hills, where to grow their vines.

Planeta

Since its inception in 1985 the Planeta winery has in a relatively short space of time established itself as one of the most dynamic and quality orientated wineries in the whole of Italy. The fact that the estate is based in the south west corner of Sicily – an island which for so long has been a quality winemaking backwater – makes the achievement all the more remarkable. Run by cousins Francesca, Alessio and Santi Planeta the estate won the coveted Cantina dell’Anno (Italian winery of the year award) in 1999 and has gone from strength to strength in the intervening years.

Ruggeri

This is one of the best Italian wine firms and its Prosecco di Valdobbiadene are among the most absolutely complete expressions of this wine. Today, at the head of the winery, which was founded fifty years ago by Giustino Bisol, is his son Paolo. Ruggeri does not have its own vineyards but buys the grapes in the Valdobbiadene area.
