Arrogant Frog - "Ribet White" Chardonnay/Viognier

A blend of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Viognier. Bright gold yellow in colour, with an elegant nose of tropical fruits, peach and white flower aromas and a hint of vanilla and toasted bread. Mandrarossa - Unoaked Chardonnay

The 2002 vintage provided ideal growing conditions due to the temperate summer which created ideal harvesting conditions for the white wines. The grapes were picked at optimum ripeness and then transported as quickly as possible to the winery where they were de-stemmed before being chilled down to 8°C. The chilled grapes were then pressed and cold settled with enzymes. The must was then inoculated with selected yeasts and fermentation took place in stainless steel temperature controlled tanks at between 15-17°C. The resulting wine was then matured on its lees in stainless steel until ready for bottling. Tasting Note: A generous style of wine, with ripe tropical fruit flavours and a balanced, rounded finish.
