Pascual Toso
Established in 1890 by Pascual Toso, originally from Piemonte in Italy, Toso is one of the oldest and most prestigious wine producers in Argentina. There are two wineries - both in the premium region of Mendoza. The first is in San Jose Guaymallen with a production capacity of 4 million litres. The second is in Maipu and is called "Las Barrrancas". It is here that vinification of all of the premium quality fruit takes place as state-of-the-art technology combines with traditional winemaking methods to produce some of the best quality wines from Argentina. "Las Barrancas" meaning "Canyon" is known for its cooler climate and long ripening season, with hot days and cool nights, making for optimum grape-growing conditions.
